BirchSeek creates blog posts with status DRAFT in the GoHighLevel sub-account you connect, using a Private Integration token you generate inside that sub-account. You publish from the GoHighLevel blog dashboard.

What BirchSeek does

  • Creates posts with status DRAFT in the blog site you choose, never SCHEDULED - the publishing calendar's timer stays BirchSeek's, so two schedulers can never disagree
  • Writes the title, URL slug, description, HTML body, tags, and the author and categories you selected at setup
  • Always sends wordCount on an update, because HighLevel answers 200 and silently keeps the old body when it is missing
  • Finds its own prior post by URL slug and updates it in place, so a refresh delivers the regenerated article
  • Carries the existing status and publish date across that update, so a refresh cannot demote a post you already published

Setup

  1. Create a Private Integration token

    In the sub-account, open Settings → Private Integrations and click Create new Integration. Name it BirchSeek and tick seven blog scopes: blogs/post.write, blogs/post-update.write, blogs/posts.readonly, blogs/check-slug.readonly, blogs/list.readonly, blogs/author.readonly and blogs/category.readonly. Copy the token - it is shown once. Rotating it later leaves the old token working for seven days.

  2. Copy the Location ID

    The Location ID is your sub-account's id, visible in the sub-account URL. A Private Integration token does not carry it, so BirchSeek needs it entered alongside the token.

  3. Pick the blog, author, categories and image, then check access

    BirchSeek lists the sub-account's blog sites, authors and categories and asks you to choose one of each - the Blogs API takes ids, not names. It also needs a default featured image URL and alt text, because HighLevel requires an image on every post and BirchSeek generates none. The check reads those three listings back and confirms your ids still exist.

Every GoHighLevel post needs a featured image, so the URL you set is reused on each article; swap it per post during review. The status ARCHIVED is broken on their side and is deliberately not offered.
