Privacy Policy

Internet Technology Services LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates BirchSeek. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information: your email address, used to sign in and to contact you about your account.
  • Payment information: handled by our payment processor. Full card details never reach our servers.
  • Service data: the projects, keywords, settings and articles you create or that are generated for you.
  • Connected accounts: if you connect a publishing destination or Google Search Console, we store the credentials or tokens needed to do so. They are encrypted at rest and used only for that purpose.
  • Security information: limited technical details such as a network address associated with a sign-in, to keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.
  • Support communications: if you contact us, we retain those messages to assist you.

We run no analytics and no advertising or cross-site tracking.

Google user data

If you connect Google Search Console, BirchSeek requests read-only access to your Search Console data. We use it for one purpose: to show the search queries and positions for the sites you own, and to suggest article topics from them. We never write to your Search Console account.

BirchSeek's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train models, and do not let anyone read it except where you ask us to, where security requires it, or where the law compels it.

You can disconnect Google Search Console at any time from your dashboard. Disconnecting revokes our access with Google and deletes the stored token.

2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

  • Contract performance: processing your account, service data and payment information is necessary to provide the service you subscribed to.
  • Legitimate interest: keeping limited security information to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Consent: where required, we obtain your consent before processing personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain and improve the service
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To communicate with you about your account or support requests
  • To send important service updates (not marketing email)
  • To keep accounts secure and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your service data to train our own models.

4. Service Providers

We share information with third-party providers only as needed to run the service: a payment processor, hosting and email infrastructure, and the model and search providers used to research and generate articles. They act on our instructions and are bound by their own obligations.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal information and service data are removed from production systems. Limited records may be retained where required by law, such as billing records.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict its processing. You can export your articles and delete your account from within the product, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and encryption at rest for stored credentials and tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

9. Children

BirchSeek is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and revise the date above.
